Bona S Hotel (SM Plaza Xiamen Gaoqi Airport Branch)

Bona S Hotel (SM Plaza Xiamen Gaoqi Airport Branch) is a mid-to-high-end business travel hotel under Lvyue Hospitality Group. Located in the core SM business district of Xiamen and adjacent to Gaoqi International Airport, it precisely serves business travelers and airport transit guests, with a total of 147 boutique guest rooms. To align with the brand’s mid-to-high-end service positioning, optimize the stay experience of business travelers, and achieve refined management of guest room energy consumption, the hotel selected Shifenzhi wireless smart room control system to complete the intelligent upgrade of guest rooms.

I. Core Project Requirements

  • As the hotel is an operating property, the renovation shall avoid large-scale demolition and modification of interior decoration, shorten the construction period as much as possible, and minimize the impact on normal business operations;

  • Given the "quick check-in and check-out" characteristic of business travelers, the smart system shall feature simple operation and stable response to reduce the learning cost for guests;

  • Effectively control ineffective energy consumption in unoccupied guest rooms to cut operating costs, while ensuring a comfortable experience during guests’ stay;

  • The system shall have a low O&M threshold, allowing the hotel’s in-house engineering team to quickly master operation and reducing long-term reliance on the manufacturer for maintenance.

II. Customized Solution

Combined with the hotel’s operating renovation attribute and business travel positioning, Shifenzhi provides a fully wireless smart room control solution for the project. Based on the VersLink wireless ad-hoc network protocol, it eliminates the need for weak current control wiring. The core configurations are as follows:

  • Distributed wireless networking architecture: Adopts a centerless peer-to-peer network architecture, where a single device failure does not affect the operation of the entire room system, delivering higher stability. Guest room devices automatically form a network; after connecting to the hotel’s private network, cloud-based remote management, OTA upgrades and troubleshooting can be realized, greatly reducing on-site O&M workload.

  • Full-scene smart control system: Equipped with a card-free power supply system. When a guest enters the room, the welcome mode is triggered automatically: corridor lights and main lights turn on sequentially, and electric curtains open synchronously. Wireless integrated panels are installed at the bedside, supporting one-touch switching between multiple scenes (bright, reading, leisure, sleep) with synchronized linkage of lighting, curtains and air conditioning, to meet the comfort needs of different guest groups.

  • Lightweight cloud management backend: Equipped with a B/S architecture guest room management platform, supporting real-time room status monitoring, energy consumption data statistics, remote device debugging, service work order processing and other functions. Management staff can perform daily management of all guest rooms via the web terminal without installing a dedicated client, with a low operation threshold.

III. Project Implementation Value

  • Low-interference rapid deployment: The wireless solution eliminates weak current wiring and requires no slotting or wall decoration demolition. With a short construction period, it minimizes the impact on the hotel’s normal operations and meets the intelligent renovation needs of existing hotels.

  • Precisely tailored business travel experience: Scene-based one-touch control simplifies operation logic, adapting to the efficient stay habits of business travelers. Smooth lighting and curtain linkage plus precise temperature control create a comfortable stay environment, aligning with the mid-to-high-end service positioning of the Bona S brand.

  • Effective energy cost control: Card-free power supply links with all controlled power circuits in the room, paired with smart air conditioning operation strategies, effectively eliminating ineffective energy consumption during unoccupied periods and helping the hotel reduce guest room operating costs.

  • Worry-free and efficient long-term O&M: The distributed architecture ensures that single-point failures do not disrupt the overall system. With remote O&M capabilities, the hotel’s in-house engineering team can handle most daily issues, resulting in lower long-term O&M costs and manpower input.
